8K8 Crazy Time — The Wheel, the Rounds and the Odds

Evolution’s own site confirms the shape of the game before anything else does: “a spinning money wheel featuring four bonus bet spots — Cash Hunt, Coin Flip, Pachinko and Crazy Time.” Everything a player bets on sits on that one wheel, spun once per round by a live presenter.

What Evolution’s page does not carry is a payout table. Wizardofodds.com fills that gap with a spin-tracked model, and its own author notes that Evolution “don’t disclose many details” needed for an exact calculation — so every figure below is marked by its source.

How the wheel is built

The wheel carries 54 stops across eight outcomes, and the split between them is what sets each bet’s odds before any bonus round even triggers.

A bet on Number 1 lands roughly two spins in five; a bet on the Crazy Time bonus lands once in 54. That gap is why the bonus rounds carry far bigger multipliers than the plain numbers do.

The Top Slot multiplier

1. The main wheel stops first, on a number or a bonus segment.
2. A two-reel Top Slot then draws: the left reel names a bet type, the right reel names a multiplier.
3. A match between the left reel and a bet a player is holding multiplies that win by the right reel’s number.
4. A right reel that stops between two multipliers, rather than on one, adds nothing that round.

The four bonus rounds

Each bonus takes the player away from the wheel into a separate mini-game once it is triggered:

1. Cash Hunt — 108 symbols on a screen, each hiding a win value that is revealed once a symbol is chosen.
2. Coin Flip — two values are assigned to the coin, one between 2x and 5x and one between 7x and 100x; the flip decides which one pays.
3. Pachinko — a disk drops through 16 pegged slots; landing on a fixed prize pays it immediately, landing on “Double” doubles every prize on the board and drops the disk again, and this can repeat until a 20,000x cap.
4. Crazy Time — a player picks one of three stoppers on a separate 64-stop wheel; landing on “Double” or “Triple” multiplies every prize and re-spins, cascading toward the same 20,000x cap.

What each bet actually returns

Evolution does not publish a return figure for Number 1, Number 2, Number 5, Number 10 or any of the four bonus rounds. Wizardofodds.com’s own model, built from tracked spin history rather than an official paytable, puts every one of them within a tight band: roughly 96.07% to 96.08% on the numbers and roughly 96.06% to 96.08% on the bonuses. That works out to a house edge of about 3.92% to 3.94% on any single bet, which is unusually flat for a game with this much variance between its segments.

House edge is the same arithmetic here as on any other table: 100% minus the return equals the edge, whichever bet is chosen.

Crazy Time next to a table game

A hand of baccarat resolves in seconds with no player decision beyond which side to back. Crazy Time layers a wheel spin, a Top Slot draw and, on roughly 16.7% of spins, an entire filmed bonus round on top of a single bet, which is why sessions run longer and swing harder even at a similarly flat edge near 3.93% to sic bo’s better bets.
